Salary £30K – £40K depending experience
Job Purpose: To manage the day-to-day operations of residential and commercial properties, ensuring they meet the needs of tenants and comply with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and collecting rent and other fees from tenants.
- Managing the property’s finances, including keeping accurate records and paying all taxes and levies.
- Hiring and supervising any staff employed on the property.
- Maintaining the property and ensuring regular building upkeep, addressing tenant complaints, completing repairs, and contracting landscaping and snow removal companies.
- Handling building inspections for prospective tenants or buyers.
- Managing tenant screenings and evictions.
- Enforcing occupancy rules.
- Preparing regular property-status reports for relevant stakeholders.
- Advertising units and negotiating lease terms.
- Coordinating maintenance schedules with the Maintenance Coordinator.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Property Manager.
- In-depth knowledge of property management and its financial aspects.
- Competency in MS Office and relevant databases and software.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Valid real estate agent/broker license (if applicable).
- BS degree in a related field.
Experience Requirements:
- Previous experience in property management or a related field.
- Experience with tenant screening and lease agreements.
- Familiarity with local and federal property regulations.
